Getting paid by PayPal is only half the job — many people in Vietnam spend from MoMo. PayPal payout options in Vietnam vary by account, so confirm yours before you rely on a single path. The common route is: PayPal → Vietnamese bank (or eligible card) → MoMo.
Availability varies. Steps below reflect typical flows as of September 2026. If PayPal doesn’t show a Vietnam withdrawal option for your account, use Support — don’t invent workarounds that break PayPal’s rules. Always trust the fee and timing on PayPal’s confirm screen.
Before you start
- Confirm in PayPal that you can receive and withdraw money for Vietnam.
- A Vietnamese bank account (and CCCD name matching PayPal) where possible.
- Your PayPal balance from a Kita payout (paid in US dollars).
- A MoMo account if that’s your destination.
Step 1: Check PayPal can pay out
- Open PayPal → withdraw / transfer options.
- Look for a linked Vietnamese bank or eligible card.
- If nothing usable appears, contact Kita Support or PayPal help before requesting a large payout.
Step 2: Withdraw from PayPal
- Withdraw to your linked Vietnamese bank or eligible card.
- Read the fee, FX and arrival estimate PayPal shows — then confirm.
- Wait for the funds to arrive.
Step 3: Move money to MoMo
- From your bank app, transfer or cash-in to MoMo (options depend on your bank).
- Or keep the money in the bank if you don’t need MoMo day to day.
What about fees?
- PayPal sets withdrawal fees and FX; they’re shown before you confirm.
- Bank → MoMo may add a small fee — your bank/MoMo screens show it.
- Don’t assume a one-tap “PayPal → MoMo” cash-in; many accounts only get the bank route.
Common problems
- No Vietnam payout option. Account eligibility varies — check early, not on payout day.
- Name mismatch. Use the same name on PayPal, CCCD and bank.
- Still in USD. Kita pays USD; convert/withdraw when ready.
