Getting paid by PayPal is only half the job — many people in Thailand spend from TrueMoney Wallet. The usual path is: PayPal → Thai bank → TrueMoney (or keep it in the bank). PromptPay-linked bank accounts are common.
Fees change. Steps below match typical PayPal Thailand flows as of September 2026. Trust the fee, FX and arrival time on PayPal’s confirm screen over any article.
Before you start
- A PayPal account in your own name.
- A Thai bank account linked in PayPal (PromptPay-linked accounts work well for many people).
- Your PayPal balance from a Kita payout (in US dollars).
- A TrueMoney Wallet if you want e-wallet spending.
Step 1: Withdraw PayPal to your Thai bank
- In PayPal, withdraw / transfer to your linked Thai bank (add one first if needed).
- Confirm after checking fees, FX and timing.
- Wait for the deposit (use PayPal’s estimate).
Step 2: Top up TrueMoney
- From your bank app, top up TrueMoney Wallet (or use PromptPay paths your bank supports).
- Or leave the balance in the bank for bills and transfers.
What about fees?
- PayPal shows withdrawal fees and USD→THB conversion before you confirm.
- Bank → TrueMoney may be free or a small fee — check the apps.
- FX markup is often the largest cost; larger, less frequent conversions can help.
Common problems
- No Thai bank linked. Add one in PayPal before your first payout day.
- Withdrawal delayed. Bank credits can take several business days — check PayPal’s status.
- Still in USD. Normal after Kita pays; convert when you’re ready.
Where Kita fits in
Kita sends PayPal payouts on fixed payout days and covers PayPal’s sending fee, so the amount you request is the amount that arrives. See how scheduled payouts work, the FAQ, or paid surveys in Thailand.
