Getting paid by PayPal is straightforward in Singapore: most people withdraw to a Singapore bank account and keep the money there. Use PayNow from your bank only if you need to send funds somewhere else.

Fees change. Steps below reflect typical PayPal Singapore flows as of September 2026. Always trust the fee, FX and arrival time PayPal shows before you confirm.

Before you start

  • A PayPal account in your own name.
  • A Singapore bank account you can link in PayPal.
  • Your PayPal balance from a Kita payout (paid in US dollars).

Step 1: Withdraw PayPal to your Singapore bank

  1. In PayPal, open Withdraw / Transfer and choose your linked Singapore bank (add one if needed).
  2. Review fee, exchange rate and timing — then confirm.
  3. Wait for the credit (often faster than some SEA markets, but still follow PayPal’s estimate).

Step 2: PayNow (only if you need it)

  1. Once funds are in your bank, use your bank app’s PayNow to send to a mobile / NRIC / UEN if required.
  2. Most members simply leave the balance in the bank for spending and bills — you don’t have to use PayNow.

What about fees?

  • PayPal shows withdrawal fees and USD→SGD conversion before you confirm.
  • PayNow fees (if any) depend on your bank — check before sending.
  • FX markup can still matter; convert thoughtfully if you’re moving larger amounts.

Common problems

  • No SGD bank linked. Add a Singapore bank in PayPal before requesting a withdrawal.
  • Still in USD. Kita pays USD; withdraw or convert when ready.
  • Need help with a failed transfer. Check PayPal activity first, then Kita Support if the payout itself is missing.

Where Kita fits in

Kita sends PayPal payouts on fixed payout days and covers PayPal’s sending fee, so the amount you request is the amount that arrives. See how scheduled payouts work, the FAQ, or paid surveys in Singapore.
